Chicago - The Band Biography
Formed in Chicago in 1967, Chicago developed a distinctive sound that blends rock, jazz, and pop, with a prominent brass section. The band began as “The Big Thing” before adopting the name Chicago, and went on to sell more than 100 million albums worldwide. Its long career has included changes in musical style, from brass-infused rock to polished soft-rock and pop ballads.
Chicago was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. Founding members Robert Lamm and Lee Loughnane continue to tour with the group. The band's catalog includes classic albums such as Chicago Transit Authority, Chicago II, Chicago V, and Chicago 17, along with signature songs including “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park,” “If You Leave Me Now,” and “You're the Inspiration.”
The Tampa date is listed as part of Chicago's Chicago Live / The Last Real Circus Town Tour, with Styx on the bill.
